VexilForge is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your creative work belongs to you and should stay on your device. We do not collect, store, or share your personal information or flag designs.

Data Storage

All your data stays in your browser. VexilForge uses IndexedDB (a browser database) to save your flag designs locally on your device. This data includes:

• Your saved flag designs and canvas states
• User preferences (dark mode, export settings)
• Auto-save drafts of your current work

This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to any server.

What We Don't Collect

• No personal information (name, email, address)
• No user accounts or authentication data
• No design files uploaded to servers
• No tracking of individual users
• No cookies for advertising or tracking

Analytics

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics (Ahrefs Web Analytics) to understand basic usage patterns such as page views and general traffic statistics. This helps us improve VexilForge but does not track individual users or collect personal information.

Data Retention & Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Designs are stored indefinitely until you delete them
• You can export your designs as JSON files for backup
• You can delete individual designs or clear all data at any time
• Clearing your browser data will remove all VexilForge designs

Third-Party Services

VexilForge does not integrate with third-party services that collect user data. All functionality runs entirely in your browser without external dependencies for core features.

GDPR Compliance

VexilForge complies with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) principles:

• Data minimization: We collect no personal data
• Right to access: All your data is visible in your browser
• Right to deletion: Delete designs anytime from your library
• Right to portability: Export designs as JSON files

Children's Privacy

VexilForge is safe for users of all ages. Since we don't collect personal information, there are no special requirements for children under 13. However, we recommend parental supervision for young users.
